Since the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Montenegro, the two sides have maintained a high level of political mutual trust and supported each other on issues concerning each other's core interests and major concerns. Driven by the Belt and Road Initiative and china-CEEC cooperation, our cooperation in key areas such as transport infrastructure and energy has yielded fruitful results.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the two sides have supported each other and conducted sound cooperation in epidemic prevention and control and resumption of work and production. China will continue to provide support to Montenegro within its capacity to fight the epidemic and build a community of health for mankind.
Xi stressed that in the face of century-old changes and the epidemic in the 21st century, China is willing to carry forward friendly friendship with Montenegro, consolidate political mutual trust, continuously deepen practical cooperation in infrastructure construction and other fields, push for new development of bilateral relations and bring more benefits to the two peoples. The two sides should maintain close coordination in multilateral affairs, jointly uphold international equity and justice and work for the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
